I love this site. SO nice to get forcast for MY neighborhood.
Thanks Ed for the kind message. We sincerely appreciate your support and use of the site!
Momma Judy,
Have you thought about switching your NWS radar to the Langley Hill site? It is only about 50 miles away and gives much better coverage of Thurston County and especially what is coming at us from the west.
Even better perhaps if your StormPredator can do it would be to combine Langley with the Seattle and Portland radars. That appears to be what your KOMO feed is doing.
Sorry for the lengthy delay in responding. I’ve been waiting for the StormPredator developer to update the app to include the Langley Hill site. Not so at this posting. So, thanks for the suggestions. I’ve included a link to the NOAA Langley looping site, so at least our visitors have access to this new system and its data. We will update SP just as soon as they do the same and get it to us. Happy New Year!
Thanks for the site. Use it every day, love it…
Thanks Ryan for your great support. Happy New Year!
, can you tell me why my old weather radio does not connect to a station anylonger ? its frequency range is 162.2 to 162.55. I just get static. I have not used it for 30 0r more years but it is functioning. thanks for any ideas. Neil
Hi Neil.
The streaming NOAA weather radio you can listen from MWV is WXM62 @ 162.475 – which is located just south of Olympia, Washington State in the USA. You radio appears to have the frequency range to listen if you are within this region.
For a full list of NOAA stations and corresponding frequencies, go to http://www.nws.noaa.gov/nwr/coverage/station_listing.html.
If you still have problems with reception in whatever region you reside, perhaps your radio 1) has malfunctioned, or 2) does no longer have the specs to receive contemporary NOAA broadcasts.
